After researching different brands and many existing adverts, I wanted to look at some photographers who have done product work with bottles and glass. Who else was there but the master himself? Mr. David bailey!

This was one of the first images I came across during my research, I really like the contrast between the bright, white ice and the antique brown looking background. The bottles have also been sprayed with water to look like condensation. Bailey has used a shallow depth of field to allow the foreground to be sharp and the background slightly out of focus. The bright colours used in the labeling also help the branding and bottle to stand out.

This image caught my attention as it features a martini glass, the glass I want to use in my final advert. I really like the lighting used in this image as the back rim of the glass is brighter than the rest, the lighting gives the colour of the liquid a gradient effect. The gradient effect also adds depth to the image. Similarly to the last image David Bailey has used a shallow depth of field, to create this he has two other props in the background. The glass and props are on top of textured surface that looks like bamboo, this also adds another dimension to the image.

This is the final photograph of David Bailey's portfolio I have researched. The main reason I picked this image was because it features a martini glass. The clarity of this image has been lowered to achieve a soft smokey feel. All props in the shot are on a soft material that looks like silk. This has influenced me because of the way they martini glass has been shot to look soft and not sharp also there are olives in the martini which is what i plan to include in my glass.
