One of the first artist who inspired my idea was Andrea Costantini. I researched his work for the first time a few months ago during my Images and dreams assignment.

As my final idea is all the mind and expressing thoughts I thought this image would be a good one to look at. This is a piece from a set of images named "Where is my Mind". They are all about the views of an individual and where they are or would like to be. As well as conceptually I really like the composition of this image. I like how the location image runs off the edge of the print, almost like an overflowing mind that cannot be contained. The high contrast between the outline of the model and the white background work well together and really help add definition between the layers.

The above image is taken from an exhibition entitled "Imaginaria- The World as I See it" This image depicts the imagination of the individual featured in the piece. In particular this shows the thoughts or aspirations of a musician because of the microphone, piano and strings. The sheet music behind the model also portrays a musical theme. There is also an element of humour as the pig makes me think of the phrase "pigs might fly" possibly saying that the musician will never reach his dreams. This image has been created using a photomontage technique, this involves the cutting, sticking and layering of images to create one overall image with a theme.
