Another type of photography I wanted to try was silhouettes. Silhouettes are created by lighting from behind your subject instead of in front. You set your camera up to expose for the light behind the subject rather than the subject itself. This then under exposes the foreground and makes it appear black.

For this shoot I used one soft box light, a camera and a tripod. I wanted to try photographing silhouettes as I thought it complimented my subject well. I am pleased with how the images look however I don't think they are something I will use in my final images as they are very simple and do not have much depth.
