Why did I used the lighting I did?

This is the lighting diagram that shows the setup of lights I used in both my final test shoot and my very final shoot. The camera was set to ISO 200, shutter speed 125 and aperture F.16

I used 2 BX kits to create this setup, 2 soft boxes and a dish. The lights on either side had soft boxes attached, i chose to use this type of attachment as i wanted an overall diffused light. The light underneath the product table had a dish attached to it as i wanted the light to be harsh and concentrated.
