A couple of days ago I witnessed the first supermoon luna eclipse in over 30 years. The last time this happened was in 1982. The event started at around 1:10 but hit its peak around 3AM. Armed with a tripod and about as much knowledge of photographing the moon as I don't know what, I set my alarm and hoped for the best.
in order to capture the moon at night with just a standard lens, I shot at ISO 400, F.8 and took 25 second exposures. I photographed for around an hour and shot approximately every 3 minutes.
After editing, layering and processing the images in photoshop, here is the final image. Considering this was the first time I had properly photographed at nigh I am really happy with how it looks.

I plan to incorporate individual images of the blood mood into my images and dreams project as I think the red colour of the moon could work well with the dark, supernatural side of this assignment.
Getting up in the middle of the night to see this beautiful sight unfold really was worth it!
