This piece is part of Costantini's black and white "Where is my mind collection." I love the combination of portraiture and location/documentary photography and the way they have been manipulated together. Because this image is black and white I think it is instantly very emotive, almost like the model has a negative view of the world and the dark streets of the city. The composition has parts of the image running off the page, symbolising that a persons imagination cannot be capped, only by their own imagination.

The reason I like this image is because of it's contrast between various bright elements and the grey tones in the models skin. Lots of post production editing has been done to this image and I believe it consists of many different layers. I recently learnt about a Photoshop tool called polar co-ordinates, this is mainly used in panoramic photography and "bends" a standard panoramic image into a spherical shape. I think this technique has been used in the image above to create the street around the top of the models head.
This has inspired me to try and experiment with various editing techniques and processes throughout my project.
