Here are my final three manipulated images.

To edit this image I first increased the exposure and clarity in camera raw. I then had someone illustrate some hand drawn tags with the words "Eat me" and "Drink me" on them. I scanned them in and added one to this image. I added a texture to the label by selecting the paper pattern. This gave the tag a more cartoon look and helped it stand out more. I then used the paintbrush tool to add a piece of string to the label. To add a little extra detail I have used the eraser tool to "fray" the end of the string. The final edit I made was changing the hue of the image. This made the liquid in the cup look red and also change the blanket from red and blue plaid to purple and dark green. I did this to make the image appear more surreal and dream like

This was the most complicated of my final images to edit. I scanned a page of the Alice in Wonderland book and layered it over the top of my original image. I used a reveal all layer mask so I could make the original image beneath show through. I used a black paintbrush to reveal the image underneath and the eraser tool to correct any mistakes and re instate elements of the book that I wanted to include. I then duplicated the background to create a blemish removal layer and used the clone stamp tool to eliminate any marks or spots. The final layer I added to my image was another scan of the book which I had selected and shaped to look like steam escaping from the teapot. To make this stand out I changed the hue to match and compliment the colour scheme of the teapot. Lastly I changed the blending mode of the book scan to Linear Light to give it a more transparent look.

To manipulate this last photograph I first made some basic edits in camera raw. I increased the exposure to make the image brighter and the clarity to create sharp definition between the teapot and the background, which compliments the depth of field used. I also increased the highlights slightly to bring out the shine on the lid of the teapot. To add the 'steam' to this image I scanned a page of the Alice in Wonderland book, used quick mask mode to carefully select the area of text, copied the selection, pasted it into the edited image as a new layer, free transformed it to alter the size and then duplicated it to make it more opaque.
