Types of legal forms
There are three different types of legal forms I will be using throughout this project. Risk assessments, model release forms and license to use agreements.
Legal forms help protect photographers and clients when it comes to the commercial use of photographs.
Risk Assessments:
Risk assessments allow you to identify, monitor and minimise the risk of various hazards. There are four main stages to a risk assessment.
1. Identify the hazards
2. Who may be affected by these?
3. What are you currently doing to minimise the risk (if it cannot be eliminated)?
4. What further action is needed?

Example risk assessment
Model Release Forms:
Model release forms are between the photographer and model used in the shoot. By signing a model release form, the model gives consent for the images to be used for the specified purposes. If the model is under 18 years of age the form must be signed by a parent or guardian.

Example model release form
License to use agreements:
License to use forms are used to allow the photographer to specify and restrict, where and for how long the images produced can be used by the client. In commercial work this is usually 12 months. However it is up to the photographers discretion.

Example license to use agreement
Most forms can be found on The Association Of Photographers website www.the-aop.org
